About Vezbi foundation

Empowering Communities Through Culture and Opportunity.

The Vezbi Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization headquartered in Boyle Heights at Distrito Catorce. Through this unique partnership, we host high-end fundraising dinners curated by our own renowned Chef Jonathan Perez, who also leads our culinary initiatives.

Our work spans dignified food access programs, public art projects, community activations, and beautification efforts that highlight neighborhood identity and create spaces people are proud of. Some of our core initiatives include:

  • Art workshops in visual, digital, and print media

  • Artist-led murals that bring culture into public spaces

  • Culinary programs and community meals

  • Support for children at Colina de Luz Orphanage in Tijuana, MX

  • Youth empowerment and life skills initiatives

We believe in blending culture, creativity, and community-driven action to spark pride, create opportunity, and strengthen local economies. Through mentorship, skill sharing, and hands-on projects, we aim to inspire the belief that there can always be more for our neighborhoods and the people in them.

Our Mission

To strengthen and uplift communities by expanding access to essential resources, celebrating cultural identity, and creating opportunities that fuel both personal growth and local economic impact. We focus on passing on knowledge through mentorships, workshops, and activations that inspire individuals to turn their vision into action.

Our Impact

Our initiatives are designed to create measurable, meaningful change. We provide families with dignified food access, offer mentorship that opens career pathways, host cultural exhibitions that support local artists, and create events that boost neighborhood pride and economic vitality. Every effort moves us closer to a future where communities thrive through creativity, collaboration, and shared opportunity.
